About the Family Business Undergraduate Certificate


The Undergraduate Certificate in Family Business provides essential knowledge for managing family-owned businesses, with required courses in Strategic Management and Family Enterprise. Students can tailor their learning experience by choosing from electives such as Internship in Family Business Management, Special Topics in Management, Managing Conflict and Negotiation, and Change and Innovation Processes. The program emphasizes leadership, governance, and succession planning, combining theoretical insights with practical applications for family enterprises that comprise the intersectionality of the family business system and the family system. Upon completion, students will be better equipped to address family dynamics, drive innovation, and ensure business sustainability while preserving and continuing the family legacy. The curriculum blends academic insights with real-world applications, featuring case studies, guest lectures, and networking opportunities with industry leaders, further enriching the experience.
