Multicultural Requirement

In addition to the core, every student must successfully complete at least one 3-hour multicultural course or its equivalent that focuses explicitly on the distinctive subcultures of the United States or on the culture of another society. Students should refer to college and department degree requirements and recommendations when choosing multicultural courses.
Students graduating from Texas Tech University should be equipped with a deep understanding of the intellectual contributions and social dynamics of cultures, both within the United States and around the world.
